First Trailer and Poster for Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the first official poster and trailer for Wuthering Heights, directed by Emerald Fennell, have been unveiled. The poster pays homage to the 1939 classic Gone with the Wind. The trailer reveals Fennell’s erotic interpretation of Emily Brontë’s masterpiece, opening with Margot Robbie as Catherine, her gaze fixed on hands kneading dough, which reminds her of Heathcliff’s touch.
Originally published a year before Brontë’s death under the pseudonym Ellis Bell, Wuthering Heights tells the story of the destructive relationships between the Earnshaw and Linton families. Mr. Lockwood, the tenant of Thrushcross Grange, serves as the primary narrator, recounting the history of Wuthering Heights through housekeeper Nelly Dean. At its core lies the tragic romance between the orphan Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earnshaw. Robbie stars as Catherine, while Jacob Elordi plays Heathcliff. The cast also includes Hong Chau, Alison Oliver, and Shazad Latif.
It was previously reported that Netflix had offered Fennell $150 million for the project, but she and Robbie, who also serves as a producer, preferred a theatrical release. Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment is collaborating with Fennell for the third time, following Saltburn and Promising Young Woman.
Wuthering Heights will be released on February 13, 2026.
